Ø       Collaborated with Cisco’s telecommunication’s client to understand their business objectives and to ensure a successful on-time and on-budget delivery.

Ø      Consulted as a project manager on the installation and migration of their design transformation project to support voice, video and data applications and to offload streaming traffic from the current internet connections and migrate over to the new network providing additional capacity for current and future growth. 

Ø       Created the project plan and refined the project schedule due to a change in the architectural scope.

Ø       Led the implementation of the Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) that applied risk management to the information infrastructure systems prior to a planned migration. 

Ø       Led a team of 35 Network Administrators, Systems Administrators, Hardware Technicians and Project Managers through the migration of over 200 user end points from the DOD tactical network onto a strategic network without incident.

Ø       Led a team of Analysts to test and detect system and network vulnerabilities/deficiencies while adhering to the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) compliance per DISA standards on all operational systems as part of a proactive network security policy.

Ø       Established the site network security posture by documenting and implementing network security procedures and employed network auditing tools such as REM/eEye Retina, QTIP, McAfee, Gold Disk, GFI Languard, WhatsupGold and SCCM/WSUS to detect system and network vulnerabilities/deficiencies, and maintained compliance per DISA standards on all operational systems as part of a proactive network security policy.

Ø       Applied corrective actions and network systems hardening to mitigate threats and remediate vulnerabilities through patch management, Blue Coat and virus protection policies using the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) requirements and standards and Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) databases.

Ø       Implemented compliance management best practices against unauthorized and malicious activities such as cross-domain violations (CDV) and negligent discharge of classified information (NDCI) and provided post mortem and root-cause analysis efforts to identify the cause of such activities on the network.

Ø       Monitored Active Directory configurations to ensure that appropriate information access levels were maintained.

Ø       Service Life-Cycle management of Bank of America LAN/WAN networks and directed resource management of                                                                    Cisco   field engineers, communications service providers (AT&T, Verizon, Century Link/QWEST) and 3^rd party vendors involved with infrastructure upgrades, service assurance and disaster recovery.

Ø       Monitored and escalated service outages to vendor account managers and established technical bridge lines to expedite restoral.
